GAME MODES: Coop only (10 players). Requirees F.A.

FEATURES:

Objectives driven: Like single player (press tab and your objectives are shown). You must launch an assault on the NVA outpost, rescue the POW before he is executed, and get him safely to the LZ. You can kill all the VC you want, but unless the POW makes it to the LZ you will not win the map.

Insertion (simulated) and extraction by chopper

Ally Assistance: A US assault team (6 Allies) is inserted by chopper, and will make their way to the Outpost, attacking from its eastern flanks. Medics on the team will heal you if needed (and you are within a safe distance for them to do so)

Random Spawning: All of the VC (bar two, who guard the POW) spawn in random areas.

Over 80 enemy: Yes, the maximum "64 players rule" can be gotten around by selectively respawning the enemy :wink:

VC Mortar Attacks: These fall in random places as you try and fight your way to the Outpost.

Round (shown by "points") system added to end conditions

No respawn in Whole Team Respawn mode: When all of the players die, the map restarts from scratch. What JPV quite accurately calls "Real Coop".

The players flashlight is enabled: Very useful when exploring the maps tunnel system.

Here's the mission briefing:
You must rescue SFC Kewley, who is being held captive at an NVA outpost in the Mekon Delta. He has intel on Charlie's movements along the Ho Chi Minh trail. It is VITAL we receive this if 'Operation Commando Hut' is to be a success. The rescue will require an all out assault on the outpost. You will be aided in this task by SF Team A-171, who will attack from their eastern flanks. Expect heavy resistance. Get in, get Kewly before he is executed, then get him safley to LZ Echo Zulu for extraction.

TMG-MapPackBeta3Fix1.rarThis is the first (and hope that it's the last one too) fix for the Beta3 release. The server crash bug has been fixed, the crash occurred when a human controlled pilot died in TourCoop mode.

This is the third BETA version of the map pack I'm working on.

FEATURES

Whole new multiplayer script! (original coop.c source was 9KB, my script is 22KB!)

New game mode: TourCoop
- Kills / deaths are not displayed on the status screen (although you can still "cheat" using the console), dead players are still shown with gray color though (I'll try to fix this)
- If team respawn is used and the whole team is dead it results in
a map restart with "Vietcong win" message
- Friendly fire is ALWAYS enabled!
- Dropped weapons and gear do not disappear
- The mission time is not reset at the start of the new round! You have x minutes
to complete the mission

New map end rule: Points
- One victory = one point
- No mission time: you can play as long as you want, only the victory matters
- When x points gained the next map is loaded (VC's points doesn't count!)

The AI Pilot:
- If there's no human controlled pilot, then the AI pilot kicks in
- If the AI pilot keeps screwing up things you can kill him at the start
of the round (you can still win the map if you kill all VC)
- The AI pilot will wait for 5 minutes before he starts moving, so you have time to clear the way for him, after that he tries to keep away from the firefights and reach the LZ
- There's a problem with the AI pilot in the traditional Coop mode, the pilot is not recovered yet at the start of the round!

MAPS

TMG-CrashBeta3:
- Mission objective: Escort the pilot to the LZ or kill all VC
- ATG, Coop and TourCoop game modes
- Pilot LZ end rule, if the pilot (AI or human) reaches the LZ then you have won
- If the human controlled pilot is killed then Vietcong wins (TourCoop) or the whole team is respawned (Coop)


TMG-NuiPekNightBeta3:
- Mission objective: Kill all VC
- ATG, Coop and TourCoop game modes
- Cpt. Rosenfield at the Command center ;) (if he keeps doing something stupid, you can kill him at the start of the round)

INSTALLATION

Extract or copy the contents of the package to you Vietcong\ directory, or copy the contents of the Maps directory to your Vietcong\Maps dorectory.
NOTICE: If you have a Levels\Crash\TMG-Crash directory from the earlier beta versions of the map, please remove it!

- VC is over 64 persons. (100-200? VC will appear with a respawn.)

- Reinforcement system by BOT (Always 4 persons, and They are medic.). (Sorry. Directions can't be issued)
- All AI is randomizing spawn point system.
- 'Whole Team' game is no recovery system.
- The map end rule is 'Time' and 'Points' system.

Move a *.cbf and *.dat file to vietcong/maps Folder.

Number of players : 32 (CTF), 16 (ATGB), 8 (TDM, DM, Coop)

Description : The Map contains a jungle with some hills and rocks as well as a few tunnels. The Handmap is included.
There are two little camps in the jungle wich can be reached in 2 different ways for CTF.
There are some ruins in the US-camp and at the VC-flag is a nice fancy trenches
The vegetation isn't very thick. Logs and bushes all over the place that decorate the scenery.
This map is still BETA and includes a few Gamebugs, but they dont cause any errors in gameplay.
It is running on slower PCs with good FPS!
The handmap looks like one of the "real" ONE, as it was made from Pterodon.
The mediumsized map runs even on slower computers quite fast with good FPS!
Conclusion: The first open beta does look very good. Everyone should had played this map ;)

Intrusion is the very first map I made for Vietcong! This map has been created and "designed" on real pictures for a better immersion!
Be prepared to fulfil a very long and hard mission because the operation area is huge!

The mission :

Our convoy has been attacked! The truck we were escorting has been destroyed by a mine. Unfortunately, the Huey that was giving us a close air support has been shot down by the vietcong fire. Clear the area to find the helicopter crash site ... and let's hope the crew is still alive!
