TMG-MapPackBeta3Fix1.rarThis is the first (and hope that it's the last one too) fix for the Beta3 release. The server crash bug has been fixed, the crash occurred when a human controlled pilot died in TourCoop mode.

This is the third BETA version of the map pack I'm working on.

FEATURES

Whole new multiplayer script! (original coop.c source was 9KB, my script is 22KB!)

New game mode: TourCoop
- Kills / deaths are not displayed on the status screen (although you can still "cheat" using the console), dead players are still shown with gray color though (I'll try to fix this)
- If team respawn is used and the whole team is dead it results in
a map restart with "Vietcong win" message
- Friendly fire is ALWAYS enabled!
- Dropped weapons and gear do not disappear
- The mission time is not reset at the start of the new round! You have x minutes
to complete the mission

New map end rule: Points
- One victory = one point
- No mission time: you can play as long as you want, only the victory matters
- When x points gained the next map is loaded (VC's points doesn't count!)

The AI Pilot:
- If there's no human controlled pilot, then the AI pilot kicks in
- If the AI pilot keeps screwing up things you can kill him at the start
of the round (you can still win the map if you kill all VC)
- The AI pilot will wait for 5 minutes before he starts moving, so you have time to clear the way for him, after that he tries to keep away from the firefights and reach the LZ
- There's a problem with the AI pilot in the traditional Coop mode, the pilot is not recovered yet at the start of the round!

MAPS

TMG-CrashBeta3:
- Mission objective: Escort the pilot to the LZ or kill all VC
- ATG, Coop and TourCoop game modes
- Pilot LZ end rule, if the pilot (AI or human) reaches the LZ then you have won
- If the human controlled pilot is killed then Vietcong wins (TourCoop) or the whole team is respawned (Coop)


TMG-NuiPekNightBeta3:
- Mission objective: Kill all VC
- ATG, Coop and TourCoop game modes
- Cpt. Rosenfield at the Command center ;) (if he keeps doing something stupid, you can kill him at the start of the round)

INSTALLATION

Extract or copy the contents of the package to you Vietcong\ directory, or copy the contents of the Maps directory to your Vietcong\Maps dorectory.
NOTICE: If you have a Levels\Crash\TMG-Crash directory from the earlier beta versions of the map, please remove it!

General Info:
Parameter was primarily built for CTF, although it also contains other modes.
The map is small/medium sized and has a quite simple concept;
the river is dividing US and VC side.
Ideal both for close & long distance combat...

Exclusive Features:
- Two daylight settings: sunny noon time & afternoon/dusk rainy weather!

- Both VC & US Coop modes!

Game modes:

ATG (12pl.) Assault team game.

ATG with bots (8pl.) Assault team game with/against ai.

CTF (12pl.) Capture the flag.

CTF with bots (8pl.) Capture the flag with/against ai.

CoopUS (6pl.) US Cooperative.

CoopVC (6pl.) VC Cooperative.

DM (12pl.) Death match.

DMC (12pl.) Death match classic.
Same as DM but you can select weapon at the beginning.

TCA (20pl.) Team coordinated assault. (20pl.)
A map has 2 flags per side, the team must capture both
and coordinate the return of the flags to the base,
so they arrive back within a short period of time.
US base is watchtower, while VC's base are ladders.

TDM (12pl.) Team death match.

TDMC (12pl.) Team death match classic.
Same as TDM but you can choose weapon at the beginning.

i only took the freedom to cut and mix it up a bit ... add some video or audio from one scene to another scene .. and so on ..

BasicEditingPack.rarthis is a basic tutorial so you can set up the correct file structure for editing , also includes the correct files for coop map making...included inside is 54 scripts for vc set to battlemode with one A.I. machinegunner, and also the dxtex tool so you can view textures associated w/ objects...make sure you have editor downloaded...please read instruction notepads in each section before setting this up in your levels folder (within the vietcong folder...)

Have fun and enjoy the tutorials within the editor....

Each map i create averages 30+ hours...but WE (all of us the die hard editors from all the different entities) help keep this game alive...something new every 3 weeks or so it seems...i hope Vietcong#2 has an editor for it!....

After climbing down into a steep-sided gorge, a U.S. patrol discovers a secluded forest pool; there are signs that VC units are operating in the area.
